Presidents of Semnan University and the Hungarian Eszterházy Károly University signed a memorandum of understanding in the central city of Yazd last week for future academic cooperation.
Abbas Honarbakhsh-Raouf and Kálmán Liptai inked the document at Yazd University, a major research hub in central Iran, designated by the country’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology as the the focal point of scientific cooperation with Hungary.
The agreement follows preliminary talks between the sides in Hungary earlier this month. It includes, inter alia, faculty/student exchange programs, joint research projects, resource sharing, joint training courses and workshops, and conference and seminar co-organization.
By last July, more than 42 European and Iranian universities had inked cooperation agreements, Salar Amoli was quoted as having said.
